A game worthy of a local derby

The U13B team headed to local rivals, Hatherley & Reddings CC, on a glorious Sunday morning to play a CGC 20 over match.

Losing the toss, the boys were put in to bat by their opponents and managed to post a respectable total of 118. Vir hit a solid 31 runs (including six 4s and on 6) from 29 balls before being retired. Freddie L added an impressive 23, and there was a late push from Ludo with 16 off just 7 balls.

Hatherley & Reddings lost regular wickets in their chase, with George taking 3 wickets, removing three of the top four batsmen. Further wickets from Josh N, Ben and Vir were not enough to stop Hatherley from reaching the required total in 16 overs though.
