Junior Membership
Cheltenham Cricket Club offer a safe and friendly environment for your children to have fun learning to play the wonderful game of cricket. As a Clubmark accredited Club, we are recognised for our high standards of cricket coaching and support for junior cricketers. This year we are looking to further develop our juniors section with continued investment designed to offer more opportunity, better coaching and more enjoyment for all our boys and girls.
New Members
For anyone looking to join our junior section, please contact our Director Of Cricket:

Age groups
A Junior player’s age group is determined by their age on 1st September in the previous year.
Under 9,11,13,15,16,19 therefore means under that age on 1st September the year before the upcoming/current season.
Coaching & Facilities
The club has continued its initiative to upgrade cricket coaching and facilities at all levels. More coaches are attending Coach Education Courses this winter, adding additional qualified coaches to our register. These initiatives will help the club achieve its objectives to improve the quality of its coaching but also improve our coach to player ratios.
Fixtures
We will be entering teams in six age groups in a number of friendly and competitive league fixtures. The Club Handbook will have a comprehensive list, and of course will also be posted on this website.
Wet weather
We generally use Pitchero’s Manager App to contact members if matches and/or training sessions are likely to be disrupted, but we also advertise such updates via our social media pages.
Cricket Guidelines
The Club are aligned with ECB Regulations & Guidance on issues such as the wearing of helmets, fast bowling directives, junior players in competitive adult cricket etc.
Video/Still photography
We may wish to video players for coaching purposes. In addition, we may wish to take still photographs, e.g. team photographs. In the current climate, it is recognised that some parents may object to this. If this is so in your case, please let your Junior Manager know in writing.
Things for you to consider
We always need help with scoring, umpiring and coaching. If you are willing to help with any of these, please come forward. Contact John Hunt for further information.
